Neither Millennium Media nor Lionsgate has announced any plans for a sixth installment starring Sylvester Stallone, and the studio has made no public statements regarding a 2025 release.
After Rambo: Last Blood premiered in 2019, it was widely regarded as the final chapter in the saga. The film portrayed an aging Rambo confronting a brutal Mexican cartel and closed with a reflective ending that many interpreted as a farewell. Stallone himself has expressed reluctance to continue the role, citing both his age and a desire to leave the character with dignity. In interviews, he’s even joked that Rambo’s next enemy would be “arthritis,” not war.

In 2025, Millennium Media announced a prequel film simply titled John Rambo, set to explore the character’s early years during the Vietnam War.
