“Repentance” is a psychological thriller that follows Tommy Carter (Anthony Mackie), a self-help guru and author who has turned his past struggles into a thriving career. After surviving a near-fatal car accident, Tommy reinvents himself as a life coach, helping others heal from emotional pain. However, when Angel Sanchez (Forest Whitaker), a deeply grieving man, seeks Tommyโs guidance to cope with his motherโs death, their sessions take a dark and disturbing turn.
Angel, unable to move past his grief, becomes obsessed with Tommyโs teachings and believes that only Tommy can truly help him find peace. But as his mental state deteriorates, he begins to suspect that Tommy is hiding secrets of his own. What starts as therapy soon spirals into a nightmare when Angel kidnaps Tommy, locking him in a secluded space and subjecting him to terrifying psychological and physical torment.
