Alias is an American action-thriller TV series created by J.J. Abrams that originally aired from 2001 to 2006. The story follows Sydney Bristow (played by Jennifer Garner), a brilliant and resourceful young woman who believes she is working for a secret branch of the CIA called SD-6. However, she soon discovers that SD-6 is actually part of a global criminal organization. Betrayed and devastated, Sydney decides to become a double agent, working with the real CIA to bring SD-6 down from within.
As the series progresses, Sydney balances her dangerous spy life with her personal relationships, particularly with her estranged father Jack Bristow (Victor Garber), who is also a double agent, and her close friends who remain unaware of her true identity. Her mission becomes even more complicated when she learns of ancient prophecies tied to a mysterious figure named Milo Rambaldi, whose work plays a central role in SD-6โs agenda. Sydneyโs skills in espionage, combat, and disguise make her one of the agencyโs most valuable assets.
Throughout five intense seasons, Sydney faces numerous enemies, betrayal from within her own team, and secrets about her past that continuously resurface. The series delves deep into international espionage, complex moral choices, and the toll of living a double life. Each mission uncovers new truths and reveals more about Sydneyโs history, often leaving her questioning who she can really trust.
